We got some questions on why you would want pop on a snowboard. Here is our answer to a fan from Facebook:

"No offense whatsoever but who needs "pop" on a longboard?"

Great question. Short answer faster heal to toe transitions and more speed from pumping. The long answer is pumping and fast/aggressive turns require a "cross under turn" which is from snowboarding. These turns engage the edge harder for a poppy fast turn for racing. On a longboard this pop translates into extra push(or less energy wasted from dead flex) when pumping so you get more speed. On turns the pop brings your body back over the board faster for fast turn transitions. The stringers in particular will let you manipulate the torsional flex which gives you a tighter carve even with the longer deck. The end result is a board that you can rock loose trucks and still have stability.
