Carbon Rat Rod

Rat Rod Inspired Longboard A 46″ full Bamboo, cambered and concave, 7 layer longboard carries 4 carbon stringers for a poppy aggressive carve.   Our goal  with  the Rat Rod was to make a longboard that has the hard carving snap of a snowboard.    Bamboo, a  naturally responsive material combined with the pretentioned carbon fiber stringers creates a deck with pop.  The result is a harder, faster carves on a longer board.  The Carbon Rat Rod is perfect for people that want to carve up the pavement; it is also stable enough for laser fast downhill.

We got some questions on why you would want pop on a snowboard. Here is our answer to a fan from Facebook:

“No offense whatsoever but who needs “pop” on a longboard?”

Great question. Short answer faster heal to toe transitions and more speed from pumping. The long answer is pumping and fast/aggressive turns require a “cross under turn” which is from snowboarding. These turns engage the edge harder for a poppy fast turn for racing. On a longboard this pop translates into extra push(or less energy wasted from dead flex) when pumping so you get more speed. On turns the pop brings your body back over the board faster for fast turn transitions. The stringers in particular will let you manipulate the torsional flex which gives you a tighter carve even with the longer deck. The end result is a board that you can rock loose trucks and still have stability.

We can ship to Canada. Our shipping costs end up pitching our customers $10 toward the actual shipping. For Canada and international we will do actual cost, less $10. Email us for actual cost and we can settle up that way.
